Synopsis:

St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school—it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's—the very place where they're most in danger... Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Review:

This series is amazing! I've read the series countless times and each time I read it it just makes me love it even more. The world the Richelle Mead has thought up is amazing. I also love Richelle Mead's writting style, the way that she has made the focus of the book about the characters and not the fact that they are vampires weather they are Moroi, Dhampir or Strigoi. The plot is another thing that made me fall in love with the series and how we get to see not just Rose's perspective but also Lissa's. Richelle Mead definitley has a knack when she is writting her characters, throughout all the books she has written I find myself loving all of the characters and this series is no exception, I especially love the character of Dimitri and how he is serious but also kind and caring.

Overall I think this book is amazing and it shows just how great of a writer Richelle Mead is.
