Review:

I though it was great to have the insight on what Shay did before he started school in Vail. But this short story was definitley not what I was expecting at all and to be honest I found it a little confusing. But I thought that it was great how we got a more detailed description of what Estate looked like and I also thought that it was great to finally get to see the world through Shay's eyes and get to see how he really thinks.

Review:

At the start of this book I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it because i found the Generals and which "MD" they belonged to to be very confusing. But to my suprise I found this book to be very enjoyable, I found the characters had been written really well and I found myself really liking the characters of Ari and Janco. But most of all what I loved about this book was the adventure and action throughout. Overall I thought this was a great start to what seems like a very promising series and I am definitley going to be picking up the next book.

Synopsis:
Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes the dead leave behind in the world . . . and the imprints that attach to their killers. Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find dead birds her cat left for her. But now that a serial killer is terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, Violet realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved by her hope that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer . . . and becoming his prey herself.

Review:

I thought this book was absolutley amazing! This is definitley one of the best books I've read this year so far. This book had so much suspense that I couldn't stop reading it and before I knew it I had finished it in a couple of hours. I thought that the plot of this book was really entertaining and the plot and the characters were extremeley well written. I loved the relationship between Violet and Jay and how you got to see it change throughout the book. Overall I thought this book was amazing and I can't wait to read the next book.

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans -- except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay -- no matter what the personal cost.

I had very high expectations for this book after loving The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, but I am sad to say that the story didn't hold up to those expectations. Now thats not to say the the book wasn't good, I did infact really enjoy it I just thought that the plot was lacking in my oppinion. Overall I still thought this book was amazing and I thought it was a fantastic end to a fantastic series.

Review:

This book was really good, I thought that the storyline was very entertaining and it kept me interested the whole way through, I didn’t want to put it down. I did find this book to be a little confusing with all the other tributes we were introduced to in the book, and also the storyline towards the end of the book did confuse me a bit. But in saying that this book made me love Katness and Peeta’s characters even more. There were also a lot of unexpected things that happened in the book especially the last few pages which I was not expecting at all. Overall this book was really entertaining and was a great continuation on from the first book and I am really looking forward to reading the third and last book “Catching Fire”.
